12-18 the Hong Kong @ Mercury Lounge

This was the second time I’ve caught the Hong Kong and both sets have been excellent. They look and sound like a mashup of some of my favorite bands (the Velvet underground, Blondie, Stereolab). They kinda shoegaze compared to some other bands I’ve seen recently but the music makes up for it. The UK’s gonna love ‘em - definitely a group to keep an eye on.
